Sally Lindsay has been appointed the new President of Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards.
In 2018, Sally presented an award to the women of the Suffragette movement and in 2019 she stood as the WOTY keynote speaker, receiving an incredible response from attendees and supporters on both occasions.
The Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards was established in Nottingham in 1982 as a ladies’ luncheon to raise monies for a charity called The Winged Fellowship Trust.
Now 38 years on, they continue to support their chosen charities each year, which have included Revitalise, Marie Curie and The Princes Trust: Women Supporting Women.
Over the years, the event has grown from being a regional ladies luncheon to a national awards ceremony with a key focus on business. The event now plays host to around 600 guests and recognises the achievements of women in business and women that have strived to achieve the unthinkable in the most challenging of circumstances across the country.
The 38th Annual Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards has been postponed until 22nd October 2021 but they have said: ‘We have not lost sight of the extraordinary achievements that have occurred by so many wonderful women in the past year and therefore we have made the decision to leave all nominations open until June 2021 and current nominations carried forward to October 2021 when the awards will now be held.’
