The second series of FLACK, starring Rebecca Benson as ‘Melody’, drops Easter Monday on W Channel.
Robyn (Anna Paquin), is a hugely capable American PR executive working in London who specialises in clearing up the monumental messes caused by her hapless and selfish clients. Although utterly in command of her job, her personal life is spinning out of control.
Required to do some highly questionable things during the course of her work, Robyn is flawed but fascinating and thrives in the work environment. She enjoys close relationships with her office “family”: her tyrannical boss Caroline (Sophie Okonedo), her tirelessly hedonistic colleague, Eve (Lydia Wilson), and her endlessly willing intern, Melody (Rebecca). If there is media fire that needs putting out, you’re going to call Robyn.
Rebecca on how she would characterise her character Melody:
‘Others might describe her as “bubbly” – which usually means “annoying”! But I see her as secretly strident and ambitious. She’s very keen to be there. Melody has been spotted by Caroline because of the very high quality of her celebrity fascination. Melody loves Reality TV and magazines. She’s really swotted up for this job.’
Flack Series 2 starts 13th April at 10pm and promises ‘celebrity scandal, a star studded cast and more drama than you can shake a stick at’!
