SURANNE JONES TO STAR IN THE WEST END’S FROZEN

Suranne Jones will star in a new West End production of the Tony-nominated play FROZEN by Bryony Lavery.

The psychological thriller is being directed by Jonathan Munby and will also star Jason Watkins and Nina Sosanya.  There will be a strictly limited twelve-week run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 9 February 2018.

The psychological thriller, which was nominated for four Tony Awards upon its initial run, is about a mother whose child goes missing.

A play tells the story of a mother whose child goes missing. It explores the interwoven lives of three strangers as they try to make sense of the unimaginable.

OWEN HORSLEY DIRECTS & BRETTA GERECKE DESIGNS SALOME AT THE RSC

Owen Horsley will direct and Bretta Gerecke will design the new production of Oscar Wilde’s one-act drama SALOME at the RSC, as part of the 2017 Swan Season.

Oscar Wilde’s SALOME will be reinvented for the RSC stage, placing sexual ambiguity at the core and revelling in the beauty of this once-banished masterpiece.

SALOME will run at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon from 2nd June – 6th September 2017.

SCOTT REID TO PLAY THE LEAD IN THE CURIOUS INCIDENT TOUR

Scott Reid is to play ‘Christopher Boone’ in The National Theatre’s production of the Olivier award-winning THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME when it tours the UK and Ireland next year.

JOSEPH AYRE MAKES HIS PROFESSIONAL DEBUT IN CURIOUS INCIDENT

Joseph Ayre has been cast in the lead role of ‘Christopher’ in the Olivier Award Winning West End production, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME.

Joseph will follow in the footsteps of actors including Olivier Award winner Luke Treadaway to take on the challenging and inspirational role of Christopher, a teenager with an extraordinary mind that leaves him ill-equipped to interpret everyday life.

Joseph will be making his professional debut, after graduating from East 15 Acting School this year.

The new cast will take up residency from 20th June.

ACCLAIMED WEST END SHOW ‘1984’ TOURS AMERICA

Hara Yannas will reprise the role of ‘Julia’ in Headlong’s critically acclaimed production of 1984 when it tours America from January 2016.

The Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan adaptation of George Orwell’s groundbreaking novel, was a huge success in the UK and London, seen and adored by over half a million people. ★★★★★ HANGMEN WEST END TRANSFER

Following a sell out run at the Royal Court Theatre, Matthew Dunster’s production of Martin McDonagh’s HANGMEN will transfer to the West End for a strictly limited season. Previewing from 1 December, the final performance will be 5 March.

After a decade-long absence from the London stage McDonagh returned to the Royal Court Theatre with Hangmen in September 2015 to critical and public acclaim, with tickets selling out for the production’s entire run.

Original cast members from Shepherd Management – James Dryden and Ryan Pope will reprise their roles for the transfer. Tony Hirst also joins the cast.

SARA KESTELMAN ANNOUNCED IN THE GIRLS MUSICAL

The full cast has just been announced for Gary Barlow and Tim Firth’s new musical ‘The Girls’, based on the hugely successful film and award-winning stage play ‘Calendar Girls’.

Sara Kestelman is set in a leading role as ‘Jessie’.

All tell the story of the members of Rylstone Women’s Institute who bared all for a charity calendar. The musical has its world premiere at the Grand Theatre in Leeds on November 14th.
