JOHN NOBLE STARS IN MAESTRO

A new production about the legendary conductor Arturo Toscanini, will premiere at The Duke on 42nd Street, NYC, in January, starring John Noble

MAESTRO brings to life the story of Arturo and his brave opposition to Fascism. His refusal to perform in Italy and Germany, and his trips to Palestine to conduct an orchestra made up of Jewish refugees made headlines around the world. Drawing on his passionate letters to his lover, the young Italian pianist Ada Mainardi, along with music by his contemporaries, the play will show that even during one of the darkest chapters in human history, an artist’s voice can be heard.

DEAN ANDREWS IN TORVILL & DEAN

Dean Andrews will play Chris’s dad ‘Colin Dean’ in TORVILL & DEAN, which tells the story of the early years of skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and is one of the highlights of ITV’s Christmas line-up.

The one-off explores their first meeting as teenagers in Nottingham in the 1970s right through to them winning Olympic Gold with Bolero in 1984.

It will air Christmas Day at 9.15pm on ITV.

HONEY BOY SELECTED FOR SUNDANCE

Honey Boy, written by Shia LaBeouf and starring Noah Jupe, will premiere at Sundance 2019. Based on Shia’s own upbringing in the spotlight, the story revolves around a child TV star (Noah) and his ex-rodeo clown father, as they face their stormy past through time and cinema.
