Olivia Cooke will star with Riz Ahmed in “The Sound of Metal,” a music drama that will mark the directorial debut of Darius Marder, who is best known for his collaborations with filmmaker Derek Cianfrance.
Olivia most recently starred in Warner Bros.’ “Ready Player One” from Steven Spielberg and the Focus Features thriller “Thoroughbreds.” She can be seen this fall in the ITV/Amazon show “Vanity Fair” as well as appearing in Dan Fogelman’s highly anticipated film “Life Itself.”
Paul Foster’s production of Cole Porter’s musical Kiss Me, Kate, which opens this Christmas at Sheffield Crucible, has announced full casting – with Tash Holway, who will also be assistant choreographer and dance captain.
Kayi Ushe will be joining the cast of the first Kinky Boots UK Tour playing the lead role of Lola/Simon.
The play tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits a suffering shoe factory. Following a meeting with drag queen Lola, Price starts embracing a more flamboyant business model.
Kayi’s first performance will be 17th December 2018 in Edinburgh.
