JAMES QUINN IN ONE OF SUMMER’S ‘HOTTEST FILMS’

The Guardian’s ‘The Observer’ magazine has named APOSTASY, with James Quinn, one of ‘The 10 hottest films of summer 2018’. Released 27th July and featuring ‘superb performances and meticulously observed authenticity’, the film, set in Manchester, ‘offers rare insight into an enclosed and little understood community – the Jehovah’s Witnesses.’

Director James Mangold is helming from a script by screenwriters Jez and John-Henry Butterworth

The film follows an eccentric, determined team of American engineers and designers, led by automotive visionary Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and his British driver, Ken Miles (Christian Bale), who are dispatched by Henry Ford II with the mission of building from scratch an entirely new automobile with the potential to finally defeat the perennially dominant Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans World Championship.

Noah Jupe will play Christian Bales’s son.

BAFTA wins

There was a well-deserved BAFTA win last night for MURDERED FOR BEING DIFFERENT for Best Single Drama. Congratulation to the whole team especially Sally Lindsay for such a moving performance. Best Soap and Continuing Drama went to CASUALTY which stars the brilliant Chelsea Halfpenny.
